Holland's RIASEC Model for the Professional Interests Questionnaire: The RIASEC model is to date one of the most established models in the international scientific community for vocational psychology. It details the professional interests of people into 6 major factors.

The RIASEC Professional Interests Test is the most widely used model in human resources and guidance. This orientation test in question allows you to define your areas of interest among six poles:

  • the Realistic pole (moving, doing, manipulating ...)

  • the Investigator pole (reflect, learn, deepen knowledge, showcase your expertise, etc.)

  • the Artist pole (conceive, invent, imagine, create ...)

  • the Social pole (help, meet, do together ...)

  • the Entrepreneurial pole (leading, deciding, motivating ...)

  • the Conventional division (organize, quantify, count, order, verify, etc.)

MBTI

The “ Myers Briggs Type Indicator ” is the most widely used indicator in the world with thousands of tests performed per day, 50% of which in the United States. It allows to determine the psychological type by highlighting its orientations, modes of actions and thoughts.

The test identifies sixteen types of personalities from two possible preferences on each of the following four dimensions:

  • Extrovert (E) or Introvert (I): Where do you get your energy from and where do you prefer to direct it?

  • Sensitive (F) or Intuitive (N): How do you collect your information?

  • Thinker (T) or Sentimental (F): Which process do you prefer to use to make decisions?

  • Judgment (J) or Perception (P): How do you prefer to approach the outside world and act?

Also called the “OCEAN model”, many tests are based on this model which analyzes and measures the five major personality traits that humans possess. It is a model that classifies each personality through the following axes:

  • Openness to experience,

  • Consciousness,

  • Extroversion,

  • Friendliness,

  • Neurosis.

  • What it reveals: The candidate obtains an average for each criterion. Indeed, each personality trait of the Big Five is made up of two extreme behaviors. It is used by recruiters to find out who they are dealing with and if the personality fits the corporate culture.
